When I step into the studio to paint, I take inspiration from how I'm feeling in the moment to select the colours and the expression that those colours take. This painting was painted from feelings of hope, restfulness and calm and it's contrasting lightness, darkness and brightness is a reflection of all the multitude of feelings we can feel at any moment.
