With this painting, I'd painting a layer of Antique White done on the canvas board over the top of a previous painting. And when I'd finished painting Going Bush with a lot of paint remaining on the palette, I took that paint and swirled it down onto this canvas. I fully expecting to do additional layers later, but when all the paint had been cleaned off the palette and placed here I was so happy with the placement, colour combinations, movement and feeling that I couldn't add more.
